I focus in experience design + videography, based in Vancouver, BC. I create narrations using design methods to practice inclusivity in the digital space.
journey
-
I pursued Interactive Arts and Technology at Simon Fraser University, with a concentration in design + media courses. Along with my early education in literature and communication, it has enabled me to create compelling narratives and effectively communicate them to varied audiences.
-
I have worked closely with diverse clients on numerous academic + self-directed projects, which have honed my communication and project management skills. These clients include the Greater Vancouver Food Bank, Fat Mao Noodles, and Hung Chong Tai Tea Co. Through these experiences, I gained valuable skills in helping them craft their narratives via design and media.
-
I am renewing my UI/UX projects while pursuing a graphic and digital design certificate from the Parsons School of Design (The New School). I look forward in utilizing my skillsets and past experiences to further my journey.
skillsets
-
I have gained proficiency in a wide range of software platforms, giving me a strong foundation for approaching new software. I have sound knowledge of prototyping software such as Figma, Sketch, and ProtoPie, along with HTML + CSS and basic skills in JavaScript. In addition, I am proficient in Adobe Suite programs, as well as media editing programs including Maya, DaVinci Resolve, and Procreate.
-
I have developed a strong interest in design thinking through understanding the users. I enjoy discovering insights that can guide projects toward a clear direction, and uncovering solutions by ideation and asking questions within the problem space. I also accumulated experience in photography, illustration, and animation.
-
During my free time, I enjoy capturing moments through my lenses, in both photo + video format. I love exploring new food + coffee places, and I recently developed an interest in making pour-overs. My current game addiction is Fortnite (previously Pokemon). At some point in my life, I hope to adopt a French Bulldog!

My curiosity for user experience began with the Nokia 3310. As a kid, I enjoyed going through every item on the all-text menu to find tools to play with, be it the Snake game, a calculator or the stopwatch. Since then, my interest in smart devices and how to interact with different interfaces began.
Similarly, my exposure in videography started with watching Pixar + Ghibli animations as a kid, and developing a passion for capturing moments in life. Moved by the emotions evoked through the screen, I was greatly affected by the capability of moving images, thus wanting to create them.
I hope to utilize my skillsets to build inclusive narrations to facilitate the diverse audience. Thank you for reading!
